TUNGRUS

short film

Tungrus is a short documentary that observes a week in the peculiar lives of a middle-class household in Mumbai, which turns topsy-turvy when the eccentric patriarch brings home a baby chick for his cats to play with. The simple yet distinctive design was inspired from the director’s lens, where the mundane intersects with the insane and nothing is considered too bizarre to witness unbiasedly.

The typography aimed to subtly mimic the wattle of the rooster who unabashedly stares at the audience from the poster. As the film travelled to 150+ international film festivals, supporting collaterals like postcards, tickets, pin-up posters, t-shirts and flyers were created following the same minimal approach.
